Teleconference from Geneva – The Right to Food

Communications, Events, Food, Statistics

ERRATUM – We have just realized that the start time was set to 12:30 on the website. Please note that the event starts at noon. Apologies for any inconveniences.

Mark your calendars for a live video-cast all the way from Geneva, Switzerland!

Back in early May of 2012, along with other civil society organizations, the Roulant had the pleasure of speaking about food security to Olivier De Schutter during his time in Montreal.

Now, close to a year later, Mr. De Schutter, the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food, will be presenting the main results of the report of his mission to Canada live by teleconference from Geneva, Switzerland, before participating in discussion with key Canadian stakeholders.

The Roulant will be hosting live screenings of his presentation in English and French, and you’re all invited to attend. Please RSVP below so that we can prepare enough chairs and enough local-organic blue popcorn for all!

  • When: March 4th (English) and March 5th (French). Teleconference starts at 12:00pm and ends at 1:30pm
  • Where: Santropol Roulant’s second floor (111 Roy Street, corner Coloniale)
  • Cost: Free, but remember to RSVP below

A big thank-you goes out to the fine folks at Food Secure Canada for making events such as this one possible all across Canada. If you would like to read the report ahead of the teleconference, you may find it here.
