Introduction to jam making: Theory and discussion

Community Workshops, Food Preservation

Are you curious about making jam? Think it might be too hard? We’d like to talk about just how easy it really is! Come join us for a discussion on canning and jam, required materials, and ingredients needed, as well as a walk through the process of making jam. We’ll end with a tasting of several jams, including some unusual flavours, and you’ll be invited to share your creative ideas.

When: Thursday, November 3rd, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Where: the Roulant Lounge (111 Roy est)
Cost: By donation

The presentation will be given by two interns from the City Farm School. The Roulant is happy to share our space with them!

Note: We will NOT be cooking in this workshop, but we feel that the information provided will help you feel more confident to try canning at home!

The presentation will be given in English. However, we will be happy to answer questions or discuss in French.

Registration: To sign up for this workshop please email Karine.
