Why write a privacy pledge?
Our privacy pledge acknowledges how and for what reasons we will use any information we collect about you through forms and emails, our web presence, and at events or elsewhere.
We understand that your privacy is important to you because our own privacy is important to us. So why do we collect some information about you when you visit our site then? We collect it to help us better communicate with you and to help us improve the programming of the Roulant.
Note that, at all times, the underlying pledge we make is to treat your contact information with the utmost respect.
What do we collect?
Personal contact information (name, email, etc.) will be used for their just, intended purpose; contacting you with information about Santropol Roulant events, workshops and opportunities. We will not contact you using information you provide without your express consent. That means, for example, that you won’t receive our newsletters unless you agree to it.
The only time you will be officially required to provide contact information is when you fill out the Volunteer Orientation Form to become a volunteer. Otherwise, you may be invited, under no obligation, to provide us with personal information such as your email address, phone number, mailing address, etc.
We may use any information we collect to publish general statistics about our members, but no one will ever be cited or obviously referenced without their approval. In addition, the Roulant will in no way give, sell, share or rent personal information that we’ve collected to any third party. Doing so would simply be unfair and disrespectful, and we’re not okay with that.
Furthermore, we collect basic usage statistics from our webpages and social media sites (mostly through Google Analytics) in order to better understand how we connect with the entire Roulant community and how we can improve our website to provide you with the information you are looking for. As with detailed personal information, usage statistics will bot be given, sold, rented or shared with any third party, and we will only ever publish general statistics about our community unless you give us express consent to act otherwise.
Should you have any further questions about how we use your information, or should you like to suggest some improvements to our pledge, don’t hesitate to contact us. This is super important stuff, and your input can help us do a better job.
