A green loft at the Roulant
Thanks to your plant clippings and construction help, we now have a magnificent green space in our second floor loft (see pics below)! This green wall adds a new dimension to urban gardening at the Roulant and also serves as a storage space in the loft.
We invite you to come see the wall during your next visit to the Roulant. The loft is primarily a venue dedicated to rentals for businesses and community organizations. We’ve recently painted and made a few other changes to spruce up the space! For more information or to reserve the space have a look at the rental space page or contact Marie.
A special thank you to:
- The wonderful Roulant community who answered the call for plants
- Sico and Julie, for the great gift of white paint
- Vicki Duval, the fantastique urban agriculture intern, and her parents for the expertise and know-how in construction and vegetation
- The Roulant team and volunteers, Amadea, Kevin, Émilie et Marie-Hélène, for your participation in painting the walls of the second floor
Here are some photos of the process and final results!

what plants did you end up planting? I’m thinking about making my own wall so any guidance would be appreciated!

Zyhocactus – Spathiphyllum
Spathiphyllum – Crassula – Draceana
