On Saturday April 30th, SantroVélo – our community bike shop – will be holding it’s annual Tune-Up event!
If you’ve been to the tune-up before, you know that volunteer bike mechanics offer a basic check-up (brakes, shifting, bottom bracket, headset, wheel axles, and tires) and will do the repairs on 2 or 3 things that need a bit of love. “Things” include, for example, brake/shifter adjustment, tightening of loose bearings, lubing chains, or changing tires.
If you haven’t been before, what are you waiting for? This is a great chance to fix up your bike AND support the Roulant!
- Basic Tune-up: $15
- Basic Tune-up + 1 Year Membership to Santrovélo: $25
- When: Saturday April 30th from 12 to 5pm
- Where: In the alley next to the Roulant at 111 Roy East
Note that if you need major repairs, best to come in to the shop during regular hours to get some help. Yearly memberships cost $15 and you can consult our opening hours here.
In addition, the tune-up day is the only time of year when mechanics will do the repairs for you; generally we invite people to come learn how to do the repairs themselves, with guidance and support from those who are more experienced.
See you there for some good ol’ neighbourhood hangout fun. For more information, get in touch with Ben by email or at 514-284-9335.

I’d like to get my bike repaired. I need an inner tube change and maybe some tuning.
Thanks.
Come on out dear Denis!
