Who is Plein Milieu?

Plein Milieu is a community organization based in the Plateau Mont-Royal, dedicated to building trust-based relationships with people who use drugs, are homeless or at risk of homelessness, as well as with young people aged 12 and over. Plein Milieu offers a wide range of services to those facing homelessness, including outreach work, street work, support in accessing housing, mediation between homeless people and the community in which they live, and a fixed site for accessing safe consumption and protection equipment.

The organization also targets teenagers through prevention workshops in schools, psychosocial support and accompaniment. Interventions cover many areas, including sexual education, drug use and overdose prevention, sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs), homelessness and social cohabitation.
