On April 21st, the Roulant welcomed community members, virtually and in person, for its 2022 Annual General Meeting. Over 110 voting members, neighbours and friends came together to celebrate all we accomplished as a community this past year and participate in the Roulant’s democratic process.
A Word of Gratitude
Thank you to everyone who tuned in from home and attended in person; to those who submitted their questions and who cast their ballots in the Board election. Your presence and incredible engagement are what make the Roulant so vibrant.
A special thank you goes out to all those volunteering in the kitchen who prepared food for the event, and all of the staff who had a hand in planning this special event. Welcoming New Board Members
158 votes were cast, including 72 by clients who voted from home, to elect five of the seven candidates. This year’s record-high turnout is in large part thanks to the hard work of Laura and the Meals-on-Wheels team with help from Gabriel Cervera, who got the word out to the client community. Not to mention our phone operators who were on site to take their votes from the early afternoon into the evening.
We’d like to highlight the courage and passion of all our amazing candidates this year. Your interest in and engagement with the Roulant’s governance structure are what ensure we have competitive and democratic elections that allow members to choose the path forward.
Our congratulations go to Alice Feuillet, Claire Aubert, Jenny Loughran, Eloise Haliburton and Gabrielle Paris Gagnon, who have been elected to our Board of Directors for a two-year term. They will join Jon Kalina, Tara Bhardwaj, Lorenzo Daieff and Athanasios Mihou in providing leadership, direction and oversight to our work in the coming years.
Please join us in thanking our two outgoing board members, Caitlin Jenkins and Adrianiaina Rajaobelina. The contributions they made during their time on the Board have been invaluable!
