As we transition from fall into winter, so too are the seasonal agricultural staff at the Roulant transitioning from field to new horizons. We will miss our beloved farmhands Frankie and Leda dearly, but we have exciting news: Evangeline is changing roles at the Roulant from Urban Agriculture Facilitator to Fundraising & Communications Officer while Katya is on maternity leave!
Frankie Traichel
Frankie is not only an expert on all things farming thanks to this second season at the Roulant farm under their belt, but has also been our resident Friday Hang karaoke host! Frankie’s love of cool bugs, their warm energy, and their knack for community care have been appreciated by staff and community members alike this summer. We wish them lots of interesting insect encounters and karaoke duets on their next adventure.
Leda Perdriel-Arons
As one of this year’s Farm Hands, Leda has brought a can-do attitude, an affinity for all things farming, and her incredible sense of style to the Roulant’s farm. Leda’s amazing story of saving a skunk from a peanut butter jar stuck on its head was a real highlight of the farm this summer, and goes to show both her bravery and her gentleness.
Evangeline Freedman
Evangeline has spent her summer working on some neat projects as part of the Urban Agriculture team, such as the fairy house scavenger hunt for Terasses Roy. Her creativity and enthusiasm will be well-utilized in her new role as the Fundraising and Communications Officer at the Roulant, and she’s already dreaming up many exciting plans for her next few months on the team.
