Did you know that the Roulant has a policy on harassment? Well, it does! It has been around since 2002, helping to make our space safe and secure for our wonderful community of members. This summer, we’ve formed a new Committee to revisit the policy and make some major changes to better reflect our community and recent changes in the law respecting harassment.
A New Policy
Staff members Jamiey, Tess and Tara have joined board member Caitlin to form your new Committee on the Harassment Policy and Safer Spaces. Together, they are thinking about how to better ensure the health, safety and well-being of all who pass through the Roulant. Over the next few months, the policy will be rewritten with great care, to make sure that there are solid measures in place to keep all of us safe and to comply with the revisions of the Act respecting labour standards.
Safer Spaces
Making the Roulant a safer space is everyone’s responsibility. Please take a few moments to read over our current policy on harassment to inform yourselves on what is already in place at the Roulant. Keep in mind that the new policy will look quite different.
