As we prepare to close the farm, many exciting things are happening in anticipation of the next agricultural season. At the community farm day on October 3rd, volunteers planted 7,500 cloves of garlic (that’s three blocks!) to harvest in July 2026. This week, staff planted 18 fruit trees that will supply the community with apples, apricots, and sour cherries for years to come.
You can join these preparations for 2026 by coming to the last farm shifts of the season on October 22nd and 29th, where we’ll be closing the farm, mulching garlic, trimming asparagus, and planting haskaps. Give us a call to sign up!
Thank you for a beautiful season at the farm! None of this would be possible without you.
