It’s official: the 2026 meal calendar is out! 

The Roulant is excited to release its annual Meals-on-Wheels calendar, which serves as a guide to the service and outlines the meals the clients will receive each month.

Throughout the year, the Meals-on-Wheels team carefully gathers clients’ feedback, both day to day and through the process of a detailed survey. This invaluable commentary helps the kitchen team refine their recipes all year long, and aids in the development of the next year’s menu. 

While every meal is crafted with nutrition in mind, feedback from the clientele last year included a desire to strike a balance between nutrition and comfort foods. We’ve therefore introduced classics like mac & cheese and sausage & mash, featuring rutabaga instead of potato,  to the menu. Three other new dishes are featured this year; delicious stuffed peppers, a shrimp noodle stir-fry, and chicken primavera

Many clients request salads be reintroduced to the menu. While the Roulant doesn’t currently have the capacity to offer them as a daily side dish option as it has in the past, we’ve added a protein dense nicoise salad to the meal rotation for them to enjoy. 

Desserts remain very popular among clients, and as such, the kitchen will also be working on offering a wider range of desserts for those with dietary restrictions. We are happy to be able to offer more diabetic options and to introduce gluten-free and vegan desserts to the rotation so that everyone can enjoy a treat with their meal!
