Agro-Inauguration: You’re Invited

Agriculture, Events, Featured, Senneville Farm

Get ready for the field trip of the summer – Santropol Roulant warmly invites you to the farm for the Agro-Inauguration on August 27th! This celebratory farmwarming party will honour the community-driven effort that made the Roulant’s new accessible agroeducational centre building possible. Join us in Senneville to kick off the next chapter of the farm with a shared meal, live music, tours, kids activities, and more. Friends, family, neighbours, partners and community members – past, present, and future – are all welcome to join for this very special event!

  • When: Thursday, August 27th
  • What time: 5 – 9 PM
  • Where: The Roulant farm – parking and shuttle pickup at the L’Anse à L’Orme REM station, 20699 Ch. Sainte-Marie #20001, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue
  • RSVP: here! RSVPs are strongly encouraged, but not required. They help give us an idea of attendance, and allow you to specify your accessibility needs.

Please note that transportation will be provided via a shuttle from the REM – make sure you read carefully through the details in the transportation section below!

ACCESSIBILITY

The farm’s accessibility is a priority of the recent renovations! However, not all the landscaping is complete.

While the paths around the farm are not yet fully accessible, the agroeducational centre building and the terrasse overlooking the farm are both paved and wheelchair/walker accessible. A fully accessible bathroom with a wheelchair ramp is available and will be prioritized for those with accessibility needs.

There is drinking water, shade cover, and weather protection on site. Drop off and parking is offered for those with specific accessibility needs or mobility restrictions. Just let us know via the RSVP form how we can best accommodate you and make sure you have a great time at the event.

TRANSPORTATION

The farm is a bit of a field trip from the Roulant, but not to worry; we have several transport options available to make sure that you can have the time of your lives with us!

The REM + shuttle

Every thirty minutes from 5 to 9 PM, the Agro-Inauguration shuttle will depart from the REM station L’Anse à l’Orme to the Roulant farm, and vice versa. Please note that this shuttle is not wheelchair accessible. The ride from the REM to the farm is about fifteen minutes.

By car + shuttle

Public parking will not be available at the farm. If you’re planning on driving, please park at the REM station L’Anse à l’Orme, where the Agro-Inauguration shuttle will take you to and from the farm. Need a ride for accessibility reasons? Let us know in the RSVP form and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of!

By bike

The ride out from Montreal takes about 2.5 hours. There are a number of different routes to get to the farm, but we usually use the following:

-Follow the bike path along the Lachine canal and keep on it as it becomes the lake shore bike path.
-Take the bike path to Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.
-From Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue make your way to Chemin de Senneville by bike.
-Follow the road until 269 Chemin de Senneville.

Please ensure that you RSVP so that we can best accommodate your needs; and feel free to write us at info@santropolroulant.org or give us a call at 514-284-9335 if you have any questions.
