Hello World!

Events, News, Volunteering - Personal

Welcome to the Roulant’s new website! Woohoo! It’s been a long time coming, but after over a year of slow-but-steady efforts, we’ve finally launched our new website!

In true Roulant fashion, you’ll notice that we’ve chosen to launch in “beta mode”.

“Now why would you do such a thing?” you might ask. Why would we launch something that isn’t fully ready? Why wouldn’t we offer our visitors something complete and perfect from the get-go?

The answer is peculiarly simple, really: this site, as incomplete as it is today, is already an enormous improvement over our previous website. So you can imagine why we’re so excited to share it with you right away and offer you (and ourselves) a more enjoyable browsing experience.

Our new baby may be drafty, slightly funny-looking, and likely to do weird and unexpected things, but we still love it to bits.

Launching the site rough also helps us encourage you to provide us with feedback and ideas about what works and what doesn’t. Rough means that you too can become engaged in defining the site’s form. What might we be able to improve together? What matters to you when you come visit the Roulant’s site? What are you looking for? How can we best use our site to inspire you and the rest of the World to build a healthy and well-nourished community around food?

At the end of the day, our site is meant to be a way to communicate with you.

Rich communication is a two-way street, so don’t hesitate to leave comments here, there, everywhere on the site! Call us, drop by the office, and email us. Share ideas for technical improvements, topics to cover in our blog posts, and let us know about those little things that you’re looking for on our site but just can’t seem to figure out where to find.

As imperfect as our site might first appear to be, it’s  is still a gift full of potential and promise… and the best thing that we can all do is believe in it and encourage it to grow by lending a helping hand, small as it may be. After all, this is the Roulant!

Wishing you a less painful browsing experience and lots of love,
The slighlty odd, but totally loveable, gang at the Roulant.

I have always been impressed by Santropol and if I am ever in Montreal again I’ll be sure to visit once more.
Continue the great work you do in your community.
As for the web site, you’re far to modest. It’s brilliant!
    Pictures, details, everything’s good.
    Well done!
