Jitendra Desai, former client of our meals-on-wheels service, and four volunteers will compete in this year’s Iron Chef competition as the “Learning from our elders” community team.
After teaching an intergenerational cooking workshop on Indian cuisine two months ago, Jitendra was eager to get into competitive cooking mode for the upcoming Iron Chef cook-off at this year’s Rue Fermier event.
During this competition, local restaurants and community teams will prepare bouchées on the spot made with veggies freshly harvested from our gardens! Other Iron Chef teams include:
