Thank you for organizing a party to show the volunteers your appreciation! I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve my community at large and provide such a valuable and much-needed service for isolated seniors, those living with physical and/or mental challenges, etc.
You asked for magical ideas for the party: Since it gets dark so early in the month of November and there are not many colored leaves left on the trees, we are all missing light and color. Plus, Rememberance Day
(La Journée des Morts) on Nov. 11 makes a lot of people sad :( So, we all could benefit from an evening of color, light, fun -& upliftment! So, it might be fun to suggest to everyone who confirms their attendance to wear a really colorful shirt, sweat shirt, sweater, blouse, shirt, etc. with their pants or skirt. The pictures will show a rainbow of colors and posting that picture on the website will uplift those who were unable to attend. What do you think of this idea? On another note: Spending every Tuesday at Santrapol is the highlight of my week, along with my participation in a seniors’ Rock & Soul Choir. I would like to invite the Santrapol community (paid employees and all volunteers) to join us at our end-of-year concert. It will take place Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cummings Centre situated at the corner of Côte-St.Catherine and Westbury streets, in the Snowden-Côte Saint Catherine area. (You can take the orange line, direction Côte Vertu, exit at Métro Côte-Saint Catherine, walk 3 blocks south toward Decarie, turn right on Westbury, continue until the entrance to the Cummings Centre and turn right at the first corridor and then left at the second. The Centre is located at 5700 Av de Westbury, Montréal, QC H3W 3E8 514-342-1234.
