Katimavik will be offering an Eco-Stage internship hosted at Santropol Roulant in the Food Preservation Program, from September 14th until December 8th. Come work with Karine this fall to build your skills in canning, freezing, workshop organization and facilitation as well as volunteer coordination! As the Food preservation intern you’ll contribute to building food preservation skills among members of the Roulant community, reducing food waste and allowing the Roulant to increase the volume of local food that we preserve.
To apply, you must register and submit your application on the Katimavik website (in French only) by July 28th.
Internship details:
- Must be 18 to 30 years old
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, residing in Quebec for at least the last 6 months
- Remuneration by stipend ($1,100 per month, plus some canned goods every week!)
- There is an application fee of $50 to be paid to Katimavik
There are many other eligibility requirements which you can consult here (in French). Please see the PDF below (in French only) to find out more about the internship, and contact Stephanie if you have any further questions.
Santropol Roulant recognizes that participating in a program that charges an application fee for an internship can make this position less accessible to many people. We strive to offer a diversity of opportunities to get involved, ranging from volunteering to paid internships to full-time positions. Please keep an eye on our newsletter to make sure you don’t miss the opportunity that is right for you!
View the details in the PDF below, available in French only. If you would like to find out more in English, please get in touch with Stephanie.
