Last Thursday, Meals-on-Wheels clients, volunteers and staff came together to share a warm and festive moment at the Roulant during our annual holiday brunch. This year, more than 90 guests attended the event and proved once again that this is the most appreciated client event at the Roulant. (Photos below!)
Guests gathered in the office, beautifully decorated by volunteers and staff, and shared a wonderful meal cooked with love.
On the menu: Our classic turkey main dish with all the fixings! For dessert, Jérémie’s apple and toffee cake was served with a delicious cardamom spiced yogurt prepared by Jitendra Desai, one of our clients.
This event was only possible with the precious help of 16 kitchen volunteers who worked over 3 days with our co-managers Jeremie and Talia to prepare the meal.
A warm thank you to our volunteers who also helped us with set-up, service, cleaning, offering rides and of course keeping good company!
