Recruiting New Volunteers!
Want to empower people to repair their own bikes and help coordinate a community workshop? Come join us! We are recruiting new volunteers for many roles from in-shop roles like mechanics and greeters as well as many support roles that help the shop run.
Our next orientation session will be on November 5, 2019, at 6:30 pm.
Please sign-up on this form and we’ll see you at the Roulant very soon!
For more info about the shop, come see us during our opening hours or visit our website.
Women, Trans* and Femme day at Santrovelo
On the last Saturday of each month, we host at day for those who identify as female, transgender, non-binary, femme, genderqueer, trans-masculine, trans-feminine or feel that their socialization or treatment as a woman, transperson*, &/or femme has impeded their participation in bicycle mechanics. If you self-identify as such, you are invited to come work on your bike, lend a hand or just hang out in a safe, gender positive space.
A new initiative we are starting on WTF day is that each shift will start with a workshop on an aspect of bike repair.
This month, on October 26th., it will be about fixing flats.
The workshop will be from 1-2:30 pm and the rest of the shift from 2:30 – 4 p.m. will be for working on your own bike with help from our volunteers.
And the last of 2019 will be on November 30th from 1-4 pm.
