In July, the Roulant’s annual open house celebration Rue Fermier was back in full force with a special edition hosted for the very first time at the jardin de la Cité desHospitalières. The event featured both an intergenerational client event in the afternoon and the larger community celebration in the evening. All told, 450 members of all ages and levels of mobility came together to experience the magic of the gardens: 30 clients and their loved ones, volunteers, donors, neighbours, board members, and both new and long-time friends.
Together we ate, danced, shared, laughed, explored the gardens and celebrated community. Together we raised over $2,300 in generous donations. And together we were able to achieve the 2nd largest event in the Roulant’s history.
Thanks to everyone involved in the success of the event and to the Roulant community for helping to build a more inclusive, food-secure and inspiring world.
If you didn’t get a chance to attend Rue Fermier, we are offering two more opportunities for community members to discover the historical side of the la Cité garden, chapel and crypt on September 15th and 20th.
