The Beekeeping Collective Is Seeking New Members!

Beekeeping Collective, Volunteering - Personal

Every year the Beekeeping Collective at Santropol Roulant recruits new members to join and learn about apiculture in a hands-on way while taking care of the hives on the rooftop of the Roulant.

Joining a collective is an engaging commitment that typically lasts many months, sometimes years, and unlike the Roulant’s regular activities, activities can be done during evenings and weekends or as the group decides. Additionally, it’s a great way to work alongside like-minded people to support the community.

If you are interested and want to apply to become a member, you must visit an open house offered by the collective (in-person and virtual) in February.

In-Person: Saturday, February 18th (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM)

Online: Monday, February 20th (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM)

After attending the workshop, you will be asked to complete a short application questionnaire. Note: You must attend one open house workshop in order to complete the application.

The Beekeeping Collective is French and English in nature. This means we would like everyone to have the chance to express themselves in French or English. In order to participate, applicants should be able to understand French, as well as English.

Because of the nature of the work, we can only accept a limited number of new members every season. We will respond to all applications by early March. Thank you for your interest in Santropol Roulant’s Beekeeping Collective!
