Skills: Provincial Health and Social Services

What experience or skill set do you bring to the Board?

My experience in health services, in hospitals and in home care, in addition to my skills as a dietitian at both the clinical and community levels would bring a different point of view to the Board. With more than 6 years of experience working with seniors and people with loss of autonomy, I have developed an attentive ear to their requests. This gives me a global vision of their needs that I can bring to the Board. Moreover, I know the health network well after 7 years of having worked there in various programs.

Why are you interested in a role on the Board?

My professional path has given me relevant experience in governance, which is why I believe that I could be most useful on your Board of Directors.

Skills: Provincial Health and Social Services

I am a family doctor with a particular interest in the care for vulnerable populations and a specialization in Addiction Medicine. I currently work at the CHUM in Addiction Medicine and in the South-West-Verdun at a clinic for vulnerable populations, as well as for the ‘Centre de réadaptation en dépendance de Montréal. I am always motivated to learn about new forms of practice as well as being a rigorous and active listener. I think that my experience with vulnerable populations would be an asset on your board.

Why are you interested in a role on the Board?

I am not new to Santropol Roulant. In fact, in my teenage years, I volunteered by delivering meals by bike and cooking in the kitchen. With my current expertise and my capacity to work as a team I believe that it would now be most pertinent for me to sit on your Board.

Emily Ranger-Lepage

Executive Recruiter

Key words to describe myself: The Motivator!

Skills: Human Resources

What experience or skill set do you bring to the Board?

As a recruiter, by nature, I am deeply embedded in HR. As a recruiter for executives, I have the unique opportunity to build trusted and lasting relationships with leaders across a variety of industries. I get exposure to all aspects of their business, the challenges, best practices, and aspirations for growth. I have learned a lot from speaking with many influential and inspiring leaders and would like to share this knowledge with an organization that is meaningful to me.

Why are you interested in a role on the Board?

I am interested in a role on the Board of Directors because it perfectly combines two very different aspects of my life, the governance and professional aspect of my 9-5, as well as my personal life which is full of adventure, curiosity, and a love for the outdoors. I thrive in competitive and structured environments in my professional life, but after hours I’ve always connected with gardening, hiking, cycling, and most importantly food. It’s the after-hours that really fulfill me. Two of my first jobs were working at fruit farms back in British Columbia. I loved it and would like to contribute in a way that grounds me to those experiences while utilizing some of the professional acumen I’ve gained.

A role on the Board of Directors is a perfect fit for advancing my expertise on food security issues as a challenge for cities and for the economic and social fabric of our communities. Why are you interested in a role on the Board?

I have had the honour and privilege of serving on the Board since 2019, and as Chair for the past six months. The quality of reflection and interaction on the Board, with the team, and with the community has always amazed me and I would love to complete my involvement with a third term. If re-elected, I will be the longest-serving board member, and part of my role will be to bring institutional memory to the Board, while making room for its ongoing renewal. The Roulant will be dealing with important issues in 2023-2025 (managing recent growth, strategic planning, inflationary environment), and I hope to continue contributing by way of my analytical mind, calm approach, and enthusiasm for the mission.
