April is the time to celebrate and share our gratitude to our volunteer community. This year, as part of National Volunteer Week from April 16-22, we felt it was important to highlight the importance of volunteers in maintaining a more resilient, healthy and caring community.
Volunteering is unique to each individual and allows some to practice new skills, find meaning, create connections or participate in community well-being. Just as each individual thread strengthens our social fabric, volunteers strengthens our ability to grow, thrive and foster social change in our communities.
With spring just around the corner, we thought we’d celebrate you at our volunteer appreciation gathering next week!
