On a sunny day in mid-August, the Meals-on-Wheels team welcomed volunteers on the Roulant rooftop for a celebratory 5@7 complete with nachos and wholesome conversations. It was a beautiful opportunity for volunteers, new and old, to meet fellow members of the community.
It was also Jude’s first 5@7 as a member of the team. He had lovely reflections on the event:
“If I had to choose a few words to describe this 5@7, they would be sharing, smiles and bliss. In a festive atmosphere, I witnessed members of our community gather, have fun and get to know each other. It was thrilling to see the interactions between volunteers and the Roulant staff. On top of that, we had the perfect weather to celebrate our precious volunteers on the rooftop. I hope the satisfaction I am feeling is shared by everyone who attended. I cannot wait to see all of you, and more, at the next 5@7!”
