On December 12th, the Meals-on-Wheels team hosted a beautiful holiday event for 25 clients. As usual, the kitchen team dreamed up a multi-course festive menu, featuring cassolet, winter squash soup, and pudding chômeur.
Client events are a special occasion for volunteers, staff, and clients to come together and honour those who bring us all together—the recipients of the meals. These magical events take place four times a year: two in-person parties at the Roulant and two that take place in the clients’ homes. At-home visits are a wonderful opportunity to share a moment with clients who may have a difficult time leaving their homes, and mean that everyone can have a moment of connection.
It’s these times of celebration that allow us all to see the true impact of the Roulant’s activities, and nourish us all in body and soul. Thank you to everyone who participated this year, and we will see you in the Spring for the next special client event!
