Community Bonds: Join the Adventure!

Agriculture, Featured, Senneville Farm

For more than ten years, Santropol Roulant’s Farm has been educating and inspiring Montreal communities by providing organic agricultural and educational programs that pass on the knowledge and practices of small-scale farming. Today, Santropol Roulant is taking the next step with its agroeducational centre, which began construction in 2025 and is already 85% complete, nearly ready to welcome its first visitors. This unique space will bring together production, education, and well-being to hopefully create a transformative experience for everyone, regardless of age, background, or mobility.

To complete this project, Santropol Roulant aims to raise up to $150,000 through community bonds, a form of bridging financing that will cover the remaining construction and landscaping costs before funds from a private foundation are disbursed. These bonds represent an investment with social value, combining tangible community impact with financial return.

The funds raised will provide the liquidity necessary to pay subcontractors and purchase materials, while ensuring the continuity of the project. Forthcoming donations from a foundation committed to the project support the bonds, greatly reducing the risk for investors.

Our community bonds offer an annual interest rate of 4%, calculated pro-rata and paid at maturity on December 31, 2027, for investments ranging from $250 to $20,000. At the end of the term, investors may renew their investment or request full repayment of their principal and dividends.

By participating in this campaign, you become an active contributor to a truly unique project in Quebec, a place where the community can reconnect with the source of its food, discover new agricultural practices, and build intergenerational connections. You also support Santropol Roulant’s social and food mission, promoting access to agricultural education and green spaces, while making a lasting, concrete impact on the Montreal community.

Over the coming months, we will have the pleasure of sharing the centre’s story, presenting the programming that will unfold there, highlighting the key moments leading to its opening, and all the exciting updates we’re thrilled to share with the community.

Join the adventure and be part of this historic chapter for the Roulant and for all Montrealers seeking a place where agriculture, learning, and restoration come together!
