Looking to fill your pantry with delicious seasonal produce? Unsure where to start?
Spend an evening with us in the Santropol Roulant community kitchen and learn the ropes. Safe water-bath canning will be demystified and delicious apple sauce and apple butter will be made. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the basics of canning in a hands on way!
When : Tuesday September 23rd from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
Where : Santropol Roulant 111 Roy street East, Montreal
Who : Anyone who would like to learn to can food!
Cost : $ 40 per participant, jar of apple sauce or apple butter included, all proceeds will go to Santropol Roulant.

All participants will go home with a recipe, a step-by-step canning checklist, and a delicious jar of apple butter or apple sauce made from local apples!
The workshop will be bilingual (French/English). It will be led by Isabelle, Santropol Roulant’s food transformation coordinator. She has been canning food for 4 years, and loves teaching people new skills.
