One of our core principles at Santropol Roulant is “comfort with change” – an invitation to being open to the challenges that come with change. These last few weeks have certainly given us lots of opportunities to put this in practice as we say goodbye to three of our staff members and welcome two new faces.
After 10 years of service to the Roulant’s kitchen and community, Armel is stepping back from the Roulant to work on new projects. Armel sends his love to everyone in the community in his goodbye note that you can read here.
Noémie, one of the Co-Managers of the Urban Agriculture program, is off to explore connections between agriculture and community while dancing the samba in Brazil and spending time at the Navdanya Farm in Uttarakhand, India. We’re looking forward to hearing all about her travels and discoveries when she is back in Montreal!
Liz, who was working on a 6-month apprenticeship with the Meals-On-Wheels program, is off to new adventures and we have the pleasure of welcoming Sonia Li to the team. Sonia Li bring smiles and a “passionate about everything that is related to food; agriculture, cooking and of course eating!”
Karine joins Jeremie to make a new Kitchen Co-Management team. Sign up to volunteer in the kitchen on Mondays or Tuesdays to hang out with her, or stop by to talk with her about your great ideas to welcome the community into the Roulant kitchen!
