This week we share recipes from the very first workshop in the Learning From our Elders series. Jitendra, meals-on-wheels client and active community member, brought his passion for cooking to our kitchen, and then to our Iron Chef competition last summer, where his intergenerational team competed with local restaurants to create delicious bouchées.
These three vegetarian dishes are delicious and simple to make: Raja halva, a carrot and milk based dish with almonds, cardamom and raisins, Praja pulav, a vegetable-rice recipe packed with spices and flavour, and Rani raita, a cool creamy condiment to balance out the spicier dishes.
