Come help out at our annual intergenerational sugar shack outing! Join staff, volunteers and meals-on-wheels clients on Thursday, April 27th for this maple syrup feast at Érablière Charbonneau, located just 45 minutes south of Montreal. There will be lots of laughter, fresh air, and (hopefully) gorgeous sunshine to enjoy together.
To make this event possible, we’re seeking volunteer support in the following areas:
- Client buddies: Each of the meals-on-wheels clients attending the event is accompanied by a buddy. In this role, you can help ensure that our clients are comfortable and socially included! Most buddies will come as passengers with a volunteer driver.
- Drivers: We are seeking around 15 volunteers with their own cars (or a Communauto subscription) to drive clients to and from the event. Once at the sugar shack, each driver acts as a buddy for one of the clients they brought to the event.
All volunteers are invited to join the clients at this traditional Québécois meal!
Note: To help out, you must be available from 10 am to 4 pm. We will reimburse gas and Communauto-related cost for all drivers who wish.
