Sweet and sour cherries are on their way, and Les Fruits Défendus needs you to help save as many as possible this summer!
Beginning this month, we will be preparing for the arrival of your favorite red fruit. Come join the team that helps make the cherry season possible! We are looking for collective members to help with pre-season planning. As a part of the Cherry Team, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- connect with cherry tree owners
- become familiar with the cherry trees in our database
- help save more cherries
- …all in a fun and collaborate team setting!
If you’ve always wanted to become more involved in the collective; if you love working “behind the scenes;” or if you’d simply like to meet fellow volunteers and cherry lovers… this is the opportunity for you!
The Cherry Team will hold meetings on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 pm beginning May 10th for a duration of 4 weeks.
Please note that the Cherry Team is a working group, not a picking group! If you are eager to pick cherries, we hear you! Please keep an eye out for an email from us near the end of June pointing you to our harvest calendar.
