In the first half of 2019, Santropol Roulant welcomed 9 corporate groups for fun and meaningful team-building volunteer activities. A total of 92 employees came together to give back to the community in which they live. We’d like to take a moment to thank all of our Corporate Partners for supporting food security and social inclusion in this way, and thank all the individuals who gave their time and energy to the Roulant community!
To start it all off, Tangerine tasked 3 volunteers with preparing and packaging meals over the course of two kitchen shifts in April. In May, enthusiastic employees from Celsius partnered up with Roulant volunteers to deliver Chicken Alfredo in the last stretch of winter. Raymond James joined us with 11 volunteers in the kitchen and on delivery routes, including one volunteer who did both in one day. Then, CPA Canada brought 4 volunteers for a full day that had them planting seedlings on the rooftop in the morning to kick off the agricultural season and delivering warm meals in the afternoon.
Our team was delighted to volunteer and also to be able to walk around beautiful Montreal. We were all ecstatic after our missions.

Employees from Morgan Stanley had an active month of June with 28 volunteers taking on meal preparation, packaging and deliveries. Meanwhile, 16 Google employees added their own twist to the Roulant’s daily activities cooking in the kitchen and knocking on doors. AppDirect came together to help in the kitchen as well as deliver meals on foot and by bicycle around the Mile End and McGill neighbourhoods. Finally, Deloitte Canada team-members capped off a busy month with 10 volunteers preparing, packaging and delivering a meal of Lemon-Dill Salmon that featured dill picked by Meals-on-Wheels clients at the Intergenerational Summer Lunch the day before and delivering those same meals to Meals-on-Wheels clients around Montréal on a sunny Friday afternoon.
…la livraison des repas aux clients est très valorisante. Une très belle expérience!

All these corporate groups offered not only their time but also their financial support by making donations to the Roulant, making a valuable investment in their employees and their community. We offer a huge thank you to all for their time and generosity!
