We are delighted to share with you the results of a three-year project in food safety and nutrition to improve our Meals-on-Wheels service and to ensure that our work has a growing impact on the well-being of elderly Montrealers.
As part of this project, we developed a website called Check-up. Here, health professionals (and everyone else) can freely access tools, processes and recommendations about offering food services to seniors that are well adapted to their needs.
This information is useful not only to the Roulant, as it enables us to improve our own services, but also to the whole community of people and organizations who work in the Meals-on-Wheels domain, as well as those who are interested about the best practices in the field.
The project was made possible with the financial support of the Secrétariat aux aînés du gouvernement du Québec and the dedicated work of students and graduates of the School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition of McGill University.
For any questions, or to receive a hard copy of any information from the website, contact Kateri, Meals-on-Wheels director. She will be glad to share with you all the richness of the Check-up project! Feel free to visit the complete online resource, or download the complete PDF right below.
