Harvesting your stories

Agriculture, Kitchen, Meals-on-Wheels, Stories, Volunteering - Personal

We have been shaking things up a bit in the volunteer orientation sessions and we are looking for your stories to help bring to life our descriptions of the Santropol Roulant volunteer experience!

If you have volunteered in the kitchen, on meal deliveries, or in our gardens, send us your anecdotes so that we can use them in our revamped volunteer information sessions and our upcoming revised “How To” guide for volunteering at the Roulant.

  • What: Ideally what we are looking for are short anecdotes of a few lines, a paragraph or two at most, describing a funny or heartwarming experience you had while volunteering with us. Maybe a conversation you had with a client, a particularly fun day in the kitchen, what you saw while weeding the gardens one sunny afternoon…
  • Why: These stories will help us to make our presentations and documentation for new volunteers more dynamic, give people a picture of a day in the life of a volunteer, and encourage people to sign up!
  • When: As soon as you have a minute!

If you have any questions or you would like to submit your stories, please contact Maud by email. We hope to hear from you and thanks in advance!

*Bonus, we’re also looking for stories to tell relating to our 20th anniversary so your anectode might serve more than one purpose. In any case, we love to hear from you!
