Santropol Roulant invites you to participate in a series of intergenerational cooking workshops.
Over the coming months, elders of the community will lead cooking workshops on the topics of their choice, alone or in team with a volunteer. Over the course of the workshops, they will be invited to share their favorite recipes, secrets and techniques and impart their love for food with workshop participants. To conclude each workshop, everyone will have the chance to share a meal or taste the recipes that they prepared.
The goal of the workshops is to promote the transfer of knowledge and sharing between generations. At the end of the workshop series, all of the stories and recipes shared by the elder workshop leaders will be complied into a cookbook celebrating Santropol Roulant’s 20th anniversary.
- When : Once or twice a month, from April to November 2015 (the dates and themes of the workshops will be announced in upcoming newsletters)
- Where : Santropol Roulant’s community Kitchen
- What : A great opportunity to learn from our elders
- Cost : Free (donations will be accepted)
