This summer, we were fortunate to have the help of several enthusiastic and motivated corporate groups. We would particularly like to highlight the involvement of two of these groups who came to help with our Meals-on-Wheels and Agriculture programs.
In July, our friends from American Express came with a group of 8 participants to help deliver fresh meals to our client-members. They split into groups of two, each covering a different meal delivery territory. “I am really glad we had the chance to work with your organization” said the team leader. “It was a beautiful day and the whole team really enjoyed their experience”. In addition to volunteering, the company helped with the purchase of some organic meat for our Meals-on-Wheels program.
In August, our friends from Dun & Bradstreet came with a group of 9 participants to help out in the fields at our peri-urban farm site in Senneville. They worked hard for several hours in the rain…”We had a good time farming” said the team leader. “Too bad the rain didn’t let up but nonetheless the group really enjoyed themselves”. The group also was generous enough to make a donation to support our various programs.
A huge thank you to all those who participated – for both your hard work and generosity!
