In July, Roulant community members, neighbours, volunteers and staff, filled street in front of the Roulant to celebrate our agriculture season and our farmers during our annual community event, Rue Fermier. Hundreds of participants enjoyed live music, tasty snacks, workshops, tours and a very bustling Farmers’ Market.
As Roy street in front of the Roulant was already closed for les Terraces Roy, visitors were able to enjoy the festivities while lounging among the urban gardens in the street.
Very big thanks go to the volunteers who came out to support the event, to the collective members who shared their knowledge with passers by, to the market vendors who welcomed the big crowd with warm smiles, to musical performers from Jeremie Vienneau, Kochevnik and Chaotic Insurrection Ensemble, and to photographers Ivan Velasco, Maria Alnakidis and Maya Bergeron-Robitaille for capturing the excitement.
An enormous thanks to Rise Kombucha for the sparkling sponsorship, to La maison de l’amitié for the loan of materials and finally a huge thanks to the borough of the Plateau-Mont-Royal for their financial support to animate the street.
