First corporate volunteers of the season!

Agriculture, Meals-on-Wheels, Volunteering - Corporate

As we do every year around this time, we begin to welcome corporate groups to help out in our kitchen, in our gardens, and out on deliveries.

On May 15th, we were fortunate to welcome Raymond James for a day of Meals-on-Wheels volunteering. Their ten employees helped us prepare, package and deliver 96 meals of Salmon Parmentier to our clients. In their own words:

“We wanted to thank the Santropol Roulant team for facilitating our volunteering yesterday. Our employees loved the experience, and have found it most compelling and fulfilling. It has left us all inspired and we will be sure to return!!” – Jessica Silva, Raymond James

On May 18th, 8 employees from the National Bank of Canada lent a hand in the kitchen and on deliveries. The meal of the day, Peanut Chicken, was succesfully prepared and distributed to 80 clients.

On the agricultural side of things, on May 16th, Telus sent 15 employees out to our peri-urban farm in Senneville for a half day of rock picking, weeding, brush clearing, staking and more.

“Wow super!

On May 30th, our farm team welcomed 8 employees from OACIQ for an afternoon of weeding in the fields. It’s not a glamorous task but it is a necessary one, and this group accomplished it with much enthusiasm.

– Estelle Richard, OACIQ

In addition to their participation, all of these companies provided generous financial donations to help support our work. We offer them a huge thank you for their participation and encouragement. Our corporate partners help us immensely to maintain our services and activities – we couldn’t do it all without them!
