Day after day the kitchen is buzzing with activity. Whether it’s the team planning the week, and preparing orders, or the laughter of volunteers getting together and preparing and packing meals. Not to mention the many jokes and improvised dances at the dishwashing station.
To be able to deliver personalized hot meals, 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year, the Roulant can count on a terrific team that goes out of its way to adapt to what life can throw at it and to make sure everything is ready for delivery by 2:45 p.m.
Mike, our dancing musician is now the veteran of the kitchen team and always ready to welcome and train new people. Even if he doesn’t like cooking meat or printing labels, he’s always ready for a last-minute request to cook up a special dish, strike a pose for a photo shoot or compose a song.
You can tell Megan’s smile behind her mask just by hearing her. She will bring warmth to your day with her laughter, her stories and her great listening skills. She is quite proud of her average of days with the meals ready long before the delivery volunteers arrived!
Behind a lovely British accent, we find Lizzie who is very welcoming and attentive to others. She is always ready to learn and do new things in the kitchen and it is always a great pleasure to be in her company.
Cooking is definitely a part of Marion’s DNA, the new recruit to the team who is dynamic and very attentive to the needs of Meals-on-Wheels clients. She has great culinary skills and is currently studying at the ITHQ. Welcome to the Roulant Marion!
This brigade is now under the supervision of Aidan the Kitchen Programs Manager. Possessing great empathy and boundless creativity, she demonstrates collaborative leadership in managing the kitchen team and in developing the 2021 calendar (stay tuned). She learns a lot in her new functions and slowly but surely develops ease.
