With the food preservation season coming to an end we wanted to take the time to say a big thank you to the many people who lent a hand this year!
From July to the end of November, we received beautiful organic produce from the Roulant farm in Senneville, Quebec as well as from the Fruits Défendus collective, who pick fruit all over the island of Montreal.
Volunteers have been transforming this produce once a week in the Roulant kitchen into a wide variety of delicious edible products to sell at our bi-weekly farmers’ markets and our General store. Some of our favorites include the beet relish, the cherry tomato jam and the apple chutney.
Want to get these delights as gifts for your loved ones? Make the Roulant your one-stop shop for holiday gifts as you choose from colorful baskets filled with preserves and local honey and get gift certificates for any budget!
If you are interested in helping out during next year’s food preservation season or if you have any questions or feedback about this year’s season please contact Karine or Talia by email. We are always looking for ways to improve our work and offer our community a better volunteer experience.
Thank you and hope to see you soon!
