Each year, we open the doors of the Roulant farm to the entire community. This summer, Community farm day took place on August 19th. It was a great opportunity to visit the farm, enjoy the calm of the countryside and discover the secrets of organic agriculture on the island of Montreal!
Fifty participants came to explore the farm’s vibrant and colorful ecosystem. They discovered the day-to-day operations of the farm and learned about the process of food production, even harvesting some delicious fruits and veggies like those used in the meals-on-wheels recipes, the organic baskets and at the twice-weekly farmers’ markets.
A huge thanks to all of you who came out to the farm, participated in the carpool, partook in a fresh and local picnic, and showed interest in the experiences of our farmers!
