The Roulant has been fortunate to welcome a number of corporate volunteer groups this summer. With autumn just around the corner, we’d like to take a moment to thank them for all the time and energy they have given to us over the past few months!
In May, we welcomed four employees from Tangerine who rolled up their sleeves to help us do a deep clean of our Meals-on-Wheels kitchen. Another participant from Tangerine helped to deliver meals for our Meals-on-Wheels program later in the month. Also a big thank you to the 12 L’Oréal employees who helped to weed at the farm in June under the hot sun.
July was a month full of corporate volunteer support! Six participants from Aesop came out to lend us their help in our rooftop garden and in the Terrasses Roy. A group of 15 from Transat joined us to spend a day working at our farm. Later in the month, 8 participants from Air France came to work alongside our regular Meals-on-Wheels volunteers in preparing, packaging and helping deliver hot meals to our clients. Finally, we welcomed a team of 6 from MPC Film to help us deliver a delicious tuna salad at the end of July.
We have also been delighted to receive a number of teams from Mercer over the past few months. In June and August, a total of 20 Mercer employees helped out in our kitchen and on our meal delivery routes. We’re looking forward to welcoming other teams from Mercer over the coming months, and we are grateful for all the support they have given us so far!
All seven companies offered not only their time but also their financial support by making donations to the Roulant. We offer huge thanks to all for their time and generosity!
