Farm update: After the rain comes the sun

Agriculture, Market, Senneville Farm

Farm co-manager Samuel Bergeron brings news from the farm in Seneville!

With all the heavy rains this spring, many people have asked about its impact on the fields at the Roulant farm. Don’t worry, the farm was hardly touched! We had more rain than usual, but our schedule wasn’t affected much.

Already our greenhouse is full of young tomatoes. Our caterpillar tunnels also shelter budding tomato and pepper plants. The wind is always a challenge with the tunnels, but so far we have managed to keep them in one piece!

Three new farm interns arrived to the farm this past month, so our 2017 team is now complete. With one more intern than last year, we have extra support to make this year’s season run smoothly. You can meet the new team at the Farmers’ Market or around the Roulant!

You can enjoy our farm-fresh produce every week by signing up for your very own Organic Basket. Choose between Tuesday or Thursday basket pickup, and receive your first basket as early as Tuesday June 13th or Thursday June 15th. Sign up for a basket today!

Basket pickup will take place during our Farmers’ Market, every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. You can also purchase fresh products from local vendors. Read more in our latest update about the market!

We aim to make our organic baskets accessible to everybody, and offer a low-cost basket for those with precarious financial situations. Contact Clémence to learn more.
